Favourite Current Player: Lionel Messi
Favourite All Time Player: Maradona
My family have always supported me throughout my football life, always encouraging and instilling self belief and confidence. They made a lot of sacrifices and spent a lot of money over the years to help me to pursue my dreams of becoming a Professional Footballer.
Another one of my big inspirations in football is former Oldham Athletic Youth Team Coach of 27 years Billy Urmson. Billy lived and breathed football and his enthusiasm for the game was infectious. He had surplus amounts of knowledge and most of the coaching techniques I see today from the modern day Coach, Billy was doing 20 years ago. One of a kind and without a doubt the best Coach I have ever had in football at any level.
Advice for Young Players
I would advise all young players to have fun and enjoy what I believe is the best team sport in the world. You get to stay active and healthy, learn lots of new skills and meet lifelong friends along the way.
My advice for young players aspiring to have a career professionally/semi-professionally is to work hard every day to improve on your strengths and weaknesses and strive to be the best that you can possibly be. Have no regrets.
